Rumored, teased, unconfirmed, myth, legend… this is a list of those models we’ve got very little info on, but hope to see soon. For example, the Lord of the Rings location models teased over a year ago. I’ve decided to create this post, and update it as needed, so we don’t lose track of, or forget these models. In addition to the rumored models, I’ll be listing exclusives that haven’t been released yet. Basically, this post will endeavor to contain a list of unreleased models that are not in the Coming Soon section of Metal Earth’s website.
Red Classic Cars @ HobbyTown
[EDIT: Updated the graphic with photos of the real models] The word is that the Model T and Mustang models are being released in red as in-store exclusives for HobbyTown. It appears that the Model T does not have any structural changes, though parts of it are going to be brass, rather than steel. The Mustang, however, appears to have updated wheels, featuring hubcaps!
Color Hogwarts Express @ BAM!
I got the inside scoop about the upcoming Hogwarts Express, in color, with special base featuring train tracks, that will be sold exclusively at Books-A-Million / Second and Charles.
5 Rise of Skywalker (Star Wars) Models
In the Metal Earth 2019 Catalog (Second Edition), 5 unidentified Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker models were teased with the full page graphic above.
Lord of the Rings Locations/Architecture
Posted by @metalearth_official to Instagram way back on July 21st, 2018, these gorgeous fictional architecture / locations from Middle Earth are taking forever for any news updates. Looking closely at the photos posted, these appear to be constructed from a high-weight paper, possibly card-stock, solidifying their status as prototypes. I’m really hoping that the delay is because they’re taking my advice and adding a Helm’s Deep model. I can dream, right? The prototypes include Rivendell/Imladris, Minas Tirith, Orthanc and Barad-dûr.
That’s all Folks!
That’s all I know about, for now. I’ll try to keep this up to date, though, just like my Exclusives post. Special thanks to AnimateOrange for suggesting the idea of adding this reference post!
