Okay, so I’m being a little silly, but it’s late and I’m tired, so I get the privilege of being goofy. And I’m thinking of “unlocking” in terms of achievements, or bonus content in games and whatnot, where something is given as a reward. But in this case, it’s not a reward for an achievement, it’s just a general availability on a set of models that were previously excluse! The Burrow in Color and the Hogwarts Express on Tracks models are soon to be available wherever you can buy Metal Earth models [and they choose to stock these models]!
Previously sold as a Books-A-Million Exclusive (and other subsidiaries), these two models were kinda hard to come by, as the stores didn’t really have a way to special order them. You either had to just be lucky and come in when they were in stock, or hope that a friendly worker at the store might watch for them and contact you when the arrived. That’s how I got mine. In fact, you can see my reviews of the Burrow in Color and Hogwarts Express on Tracks. The Burrow’s “review” was from before I started my blog, and I haven’t made a Throwback Thursday post to migrate it to the blog yet. Actually, I haven’t made one of those in a while. I really should start doing that again…

I had to pull out my ” Exclusive” boxes. I was surprised to see that the model number is different. In color Burrows is MMS444B and Hogwarts Express is MMS445B on the ones from BaM. The Silver Burrows was of course MMS 444.
I didn’t even notice… I’m slipping. Very interesting…
I think I actually have a spare ROG-eye and I paid waaaay to much for the D23. I want me a Goofy and Donald. I had a chance but blew it about a year ago. I also want the Paris Sleeping Beauty Castle, but who don’t?
Amen on the Sleeping Beauty Castle. I was lucky on the D23 items, and blessed on the Goofy and Donald.
I could name a couple or three that I wish were released for general consumption. I really enjoy when they require a bit of work to obtain but some have become almost impossible.
