Metal Earth is bringing two new models, the Naoe Armor and the ICONX / Premium Series P-38 Lightning! No news on when they will be coming, but they look gorgeous. Love the addition of a twin tail airplane to the aviation lineup. It has such a unique profile that it should stand out in any collection, especially being at ICONX scale. The Naoe addition to the Armor series seems to be another Asian armor model imported from Tenyo (much like the Toyotomi Armor). I wonder if we will see more of those in the future. Tenyo even has one with a cloth cape!
I’ll be adding these to the checklist soon.

I just completed the Toyotomi Armor. This one appears to be very similar structurally with a different helmet assembly and a second tier support box. Wasn’t a very difficult build. Some repetitious parts around the hip flaps.
Indeed. There does seem to be a lot of similarities among the various armors, at least from a purely visual inspection (having not yet built any of them). But they are gorgeous, and I look forward to building some (albeit the Tenyo Metallic Nano versions, since I was able to pick those up recently).
My plane shelf is almost full and I haven’t built all the classics yet. Adding the premium planes means a new cabinet. Better call Santa!
For real! I have so many airplanes, but I’m missing quite a few still. Packed ’em in as tight as I can, and they still don’t fit on one 4″x36″ shelf (in my tiered display shelves).
