It turns out that where I thought that the Hobbytown in Little Rock was closed at some point, it actually was just relocated, and Google Maps didn’t update their data. So, seeing as I was halfway there for another errand today, I decided to drop by and confirm a juicy rumor I’d heard… namely that the two in-store exclusives, the Red Mustang and Model T, are actually available now! And they are both priced at $11.99 (at least at the local store). How about that? And since there’s not a whole lot of details available about these models, I took some close-up photos of the front and backs of each package, so here you go:
So, if these two hot red hot rods get you going, find your nearest Hobbytown and pick them up while they are fresh!

Just started building models. It really is addictive. My credit card attest to that. I have enjoyed reading your blog. I really appreciate your updates and tips. That said I thought I would share the fruits of some of my recent searches. I have been trying to collect the retired models and some of the exclusives. When you posted about the Hobbytown models I was going to visit our nearest Hobbytown but it is a bit of a trek. I turned to Amazon again and I did find them this time sold as singles and as a pair. I also located the red Target Millennium Falcon. They have them on clearance for $7.63 on the Target website. The Staten Island Ferry was the hardest to find. Plenty of Tenyo models but the Metal Earth Model was elusive. I finally found it in a collector pack called Metal Earth New York City. It includes the Staten Island Ferry, Checker Cab, Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building. They are not in the typical display sleeves but in a nice collector box. You may already know all this but I thought I would share in case someone else is still looking. All I lack is the Kennedy Center to have the retirees, Well until your last post. Woww, 30+ models to catch up on.
Wow! Thanks for the pointers. I’m glad my blog has been helpful, it’s what I write it for. đŸ™‚ Sorry it took me a few days to respond, I’ve been a little under the weather. But now I’ve gone and written a new post with some of this information, as well as a link to the pre-order page for the color Hogwarts Express that’s exclusive to Books-A-Million. Thank you again! (also, I feel ya on the retirees… I still had 22 to get at the time of the announcement. Got it down to 16 remaining now, but my budget is restraining me)
